Luxury seasonal honey house · Est. 2023 · India
Madhurae is India’s first luxury living honey brand. Four apiaries across India’ most distinct floral seasons — harvested surplus-only, jarred single-origin, never blended. The vintage carries the season, the altitude, and the floral source.
Vintage 2026 · 1,820 jars across four harvests · Batch-numbered
The Co-op
Madhurae was founded in 2023 to do one thing properly: treat honey the way a wine house treats a vintage. Honey is a seasonal agricultural expression — it changes with the floral source, the altitude, the weather of that single flow. We embrace the variation instead of blending it out.
We keep four apiaries across India — one per season — and pull each harvest once, jar it under that apiary’s name, and never blend. The protected-hive rule governs everything: surplus-only harvesting, leaving the colony its winter stores, never weakening a hive for a faster yield.
The economics are deliberate: scarcity, discipline, and high-margin contribution over volume. Each jar is batch-numbered and traceable back to the frame it came from. Members jar first, before a single label goes on sale.
Apiary Registry · Vintage 2026
Four apiaries across India, one per season. Each carries an international queen marker — white for 2026, blue for 2025 — and a harvest window that closes without extension. Every jar is batch-numbered and traceable back to the frame it came from.

The briefest harvest. Sundari mangrove. Sea-salt caramel. The Harvest
Madhurae does not sit on shelves. Every harvest is a numbered drop — a fixed jar count, a fixed reservation window, and no restock. You reserve interest first. When the drop opens, the first 200 who reserved get the jar at ₹500 off the vintage price. After 200, it returns to full price until the last jar is gone. Single-apiary, single-season, strained once through coarse muslin so the pollen stays in. Never heated past 35°C.

Field Science
A forager who finds nectar worth telling the room about comes home and dances it. On the vertical comb, straight up stands in for the sun: she runs her waggle line at the angle her flight made with the sun’s bearing, and the length of the waggle — about one second per kilometer — says how far. Martin Lindauer decoded it in 1971. Our bees never stopped broadcasting.

Membership
The Founders’ Circle is Phase 1 of the Madhurae roadmap — the first 400 members who reserve a share of Vintage 2026 before it goes to general drop. Membership runs on scarcity and discipline: limited allotments, strict pricing, and batch-level traceability from frame to jar. Members jar first, ahead of every public drop.
The drop system protects both the colony and the member. Pre-orders open before procurement, so we harvest only what the vintage has sold. Corporate gifting and subscriptions arrive in Phase 3; for now, access is Founders’ Circle only. Sponsorships of one frame from any apiary are open now.
Phase 1 waitlist is open. Founders’ Circle members are notified first when each drop closes and when frames sponsor out. Pricing discipline is strict: the vintage is never discounted.
